The lock down chronicles:
Anthony Zinonos

Anthony Zinonos is an artist based in the city of Orange, California.

TWS –How are you doing in this Covid-19 pandemic?
AZ –Today I’m feeling great, it’s been a weird mix of emotions, ups and
downs, worries and what ifs? But to be honest looking at the bigger
picture I’m doing pretty good, learning to let go of the things I
can’t control and being grateful for what I have.

TWS –Are you being able to telecommute / work from home?
AZ –I usually work from home so no big difference there, same with my wife
so our day to day life hasn’t changed too drastically. In fact there
have been times that I’ve forgotten its happening till I go do some
grocery shopping and there is a long line outside with people all
masked up. Its been interesting to see how quickly we adapt to living
situations that seemed unthinkable just 2 months ago.

TWS –Did the lock-down affected your creativity and art making? How?
AZ –It’s hard to tell I’ve been both very inspired and lacked motivation,
due to my work situation being so similar to before the lockdown I
don’t think I’ve been any more or less productive than normal.

TWS –Are you able to track positive moments or things that happened
during this crisis so far?

AZ –Going out for walks and everything is in full bloom, seeing nature
thrive during all this is really comforting. I’m an introvert so have
definitely been enjoying having less people around, the streets are
quiet and empty and I find it really calming.

TWS –What’s the first thing you would like to do when we can get back to normal?
AZ –Looking forward to going to the beach and to a thrift store to buy
some materials haha…  just being able to go out for dinner with some
friends would be great.
