Last year, I made a series of collages using an iris catalog that I had bought at a thrift store in New Orleans many years ago. This year, I published a collection of these works with a short essay on my explorations of the iris as a symbol of healing and resilience. I brought the books to Kolaj Fest, bringing the irises back to New Orleans, where they first began.
